Xinjiang Old Man Melon
Xinjiang specialty melon variety with orange-red flesh, soft, glutinous, and sweet.
Lao Han Gua is a unique melon variety from Xinjiang, named for its soft flesh that even the elderly can easily eat. Its flesh is orange-yellow, tender and fine-textured, with exceptionally high sweetness, melting in the mouth and carrying a rich melon aroma. The harvest season runs from 7 to 9, primarily in Turpan and Hami. Thanks to large day-night temperature differences and abundant sunlight in these regions, sugar accumulation is exceptional, resulting in superior quality. Besides eating fresh, Lao Han Gua can be processed into dried melon or melon jam—perfect gifts for family and friends.
